Chiropractic Manipulation Under Anesthesia
Chiropractic pain management techniques include a wide range of approaches to relieving chronic pain and improving range of motion. At Pinnacle Regional Hospital we work with specialists who are experienced in MUA, or manipulation under anesthesia. More than just a treatment for chronic pain, chiropractic MUA can help individuals experiencing limited joint mobility after surgery, frozen joints, arthrosis, and temporomandibular joint syndrome (TMJ), to name a few. Because these chiropractic techniques are practiced under anesthetic, greater increases to flexibility and range of motion can be achieved than would be possible in a traditional chiropractic setting.
Chiropractic MUA has been found to relieve pain and increase mobility in cases of neck, back, and joint pain, chronic muscle pain and inflammation, muscle spasms, nerve entrapment, fibrous adhesions, sciatica, and many other conditions where narcotic pain relievers do not provide adequate relief. Depending on your individual needs, a series of chiropractic MUAs may be performed across several days to provide the maximum benefit.
